YES! Extra Curricular with Professor Green, Reverend and The Makers, DJ Yoda, and Doorly.

Yes y'all,

So we've just about come to after one very fun bank holiday weekend! We played alongside Professor Green, Reverend and The Makers, DJ Yoda, and Doorly at the last ever Afterparty Warehouse Experience at Bates Mill. As you can imagine it was a little bit NUTS!

Pictures speak louder than words and all that, so here are a few of our favourites:

Extra Curricular

Professor Green

Reverend and The Makers

DJ Yoda

Doorly

Big thanks to the Afterparty guys, particularly Doorly and Bongo Dave, for putting together such a unique night!

--------------Music Video--------------

We knew the show would be big, so we also enlisted the help of music video producer AshTV to come down and capture some live footage as part of a music video for, the yet unreleased track, 'Last Day'. See if you can spot him on this picture ;)

We're in Sheffield this weekend (Saturday 12th May) headlining Dada Club on Trippets Lane. If you're from there, live there, or a near there make sure you come through!

Next time I'll be posting our tour dates for summer and our release dates.... hang tight!

Last Day (acoustic), Behind The Scenes, Free Download

Yes y'all

A couple of weeks later than I promised, but here it is.... an acoustic version of Last Day shot by the On't Sofa team. We're in the process of locking down a release schedule for this track... so watch this space!

Ever wondered what an Extra Curricular rehearsal looks/sounds like? Thabo just bought himself a shiny new camera and has been making some wicked little clips of pretty much everything he sees:

We loved that jam so much that we've decided to turn it into a 'proper' song - keep your ears peeled.

and finally.....

If you haven't already copped our FREE download of You Should Know Me By Now.... you should go and get it right now... from here:

New Track 'Procedure', Upcoming LIVE shows, Progression, Ball-Zee freestyle

Yes y'all,

Let's get straight down to business..... the year is 2012, we're about to go in deep - there's lots we have to keep to ourselves for the minute and, trust me, we hate keeping secrets from you.... but it will all be worth it....

First up, here's a new promo video we've made for 2012. It contains video footage from our summer/autumn tour last year along with a brand new track that we road-tested.... it's called 'Procedure' and it's a bit of a banger!

Speaking of live shows, we've got one coming up at the end of the month....

Sunday 26th February - Extra Curricular LIVE @ Hifi Club, Leeds
FREE ENTRY
Doors 10pm
Event page - http://www.facebook.com/events/382171055133232/

If you've never been down to the Hifi Club on a Sunday you need to make sure you get yourself here this time! It's the only place where the end of the weekend doesn't exist and everyone is in party mode. Wicked music until 4am and free entry all night... can't say fairer than that. We're going to be playing some BRAND NEW tracks that we've been working on over winter.

P.S Peep our revamped website at http://www.extracurricularband.com - lots of shiny new pictures and the like.

-------PROGRESSION-------

Jack Flash dropped the Progression album earlier this month.... go cop it HERE

------BALL ZEE ON'T SOFA-------

Ball-Zee dropped an exclusive beatbox freestyle when we went to visit the On't Sofa team. Absolutely sick as usual....

We also performed an exclusive acoustic version of one of our new singles which we will show you next month once it has been edited.

Final Show, Steamrolling, Creative Space, Ball-Zee at Christmas

Yes y'all

First up, we'd like to thank everyone who braved the arctic conditions to come vibe with us at the Festival of Light in Huddersfield last weekend. It was humbling to see how many people came to the street party - nice one! Here's a video shot by our good friend Pajama Jama, showing some of the highlights of the evening:

We'd also like to take this opportunity to invite you to our FINAL SHOW of the year....

23rd December @ 1:22 Live, Huddersfield
EXTRA CURRICULAR support from Sons Of Mischief
It's been an absolute rollercoaster of a year: highlights have included mainstage festival slots at Greenbelt, Limetree, and a whole host of other great festivals.... we also absolutely LOVED smashing up Huddersfield's infamous Afterparty Warehouse rave alongside Example, Zane Lowe, Artwork (Magnetic Man), and Doorly!

We'd love for you to join us for one last special show, and because we know it's your support that has got us to where we are now we're going to be GIVING AWAY some of our back catalogue of CDs...

2012 is going to be EPIC, our first full-scale releases are kicking off in the new year and we're excited to be able to share this crazy journey with you.

More details to come soon for this event once they're finalised.... but for now, please share, invite your friends, and gear yourselves up for a serious PARTY! Event page HERE

---------Jack Flash 'Steamrolling'------------

We featured this track from our very own Jack Flash a few months back as an audio track, but here it is now in all it's music video glory...... shot by Paul Cockcroft

----------John Waugh 'Creative Space'---------

Our super-talented sax-man Mr. John Waugh was commissioned to compose an original score to accompany four short films on artists. Here's one of them....

---------Ball Zee at Christmas-------

And finally, to get you in that Christmas spirit, Ball-Zee our beat-boxing maestro has recorded another one of his dope freestyles....

Special Show Announcements, EP Sold out, Jack Flash Album, Thabo 'Something'

Yes y'all,

We'd like to take a moment to let you know about a couple of shows we have coming up over the next few weeks.

26th November @ The Library, Headingley, Leeds

We're going to be road-testing a few BRAND NEW tracks at this show - never heard outside of our studio. If you want to be the first to preview the EC 2012 set this is the show to come to. Also super-stoked to have members of Nightmares On Wax, The Haggis Horns, Brand New Heavies, and Finley Quaye's live bands support us in the form of 'Dirty Velvet' ---- we're going to be taking notes ;) Also appearing on the night will be the amazing Dan Audio, amongst others... *edit* FB event now up HERE

3rd December @ Massive Outdoor Stage, Huddersfield

When we first got the call about this show, we thought it was a wind-up.... Basically, the promoters are going to close of a massive part of central Huddersfield (the area from the top of the Kingsgate to the bottom), erect a huge stage, and put on an awesome street party (all the bars will be able to serve drinks outdoors - yes!). We will be headlining the evening with The Haggis Horns and Sons of Mischief supporting - it's going to be very special! The event will be free and form part of a larger 'Festival of Light'. Check out the webpage for the event HERE

...So, we only printed our latest EP a couple of months back, but we've already SOLD OUT of physicals - Jeeeez, overwhelmed by that! We might print some more depending on demand, but we also want to get some new stuff to you real soon! For now, you can still grab it as a high quality download from http://underwrapsmusic.bandcamp.com/album/the-ec-ep

-------JACK FLASH PROGRESSION--------

Flash is due to drop his latest album 'Progression' later this month supported by two album launch events. They will be Bar 1:22, Huddersfield on November 18th, and Sedgewick Avenue, Leeds on November 19th. Peep 'Steamrolling' from the new album here:

-------THABO AND LEE M KELSALL-------

Thabo and Lee M Kelsall have joined forces to make this super-smooth house track. I cannot stop playing this, perfect music to clear those grey skies away!

WOW - so we supported Example, Zane Lowe, Artwork (Magnetic Man), and Doorly this weekend!!!

One of the most amazing weekends for us as a band this weekend. First, a headline show at the Hootananny in Brixton to a packed audience, and then, a MASSIVE warehouse rave for Afterparty, Huddersfield supporting Example, Zane Lowe, Artwork (Magnetic Man), and Doorly. Needless to say we are all on Cloud 9 - gonna take a minute to come down from here! Here are a few of our favourite pics:

To top of the night Flash and Thabo then jumped up and MC'd for ARTWORK at about 4 in the morning. The set was heavy, the crowd were live, and the stage was literally full of people - HYPE.

Photos by Paul Cockcroft and Dave Lockwood

Massive shouts to Doorly and Bongo Dave for their hospitality at this one!

This Thursday we're playing in Leeds alongside Herve and DJ Derek. We're hoping that Leeds is going to live up to the high standard set by London and Huddersfield this weekend. Event info HERE

--------Four Letter F Word---------

Flash has just dropped a new video on Youtube. Did you know this many four letter F words? Beat and production courtesy of the man they call Wizard
